Images in original resolution
Saves the full-size file the creator uploaded, not the compressed preview.
pinloot is a free Pinterest video, image and GIF downloader: paste a pin or pin.it link and save the original file — no login, no watermark.

Open the pin in the Pinterest app or website and tap Share → Copy link.
Paste the link above. We detect whether the pin is an image, video or GIF.
Choose a quality and save the file to your phone or computer.
Saves the full-size file the creator uploaded, not the compressed preview.
Pick 1080p, 720p or 480p, depending on what the pin offers.
Keep GIF pins animated, or save them as a lighter MP4.
| Pin type | Formats | Max quality | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Image | JPG, PNG | Original upload size | Full resolution, no compression |
| Video | MP4 | 1080p, 720p, 480p | Includes audio |
| GIF | GIF, MP4 | Original | MP4 offered when Pinterest stores it as video |
Open Safari or Chrome, paste the pin link into pinloot, and tap Download. iPhone saves videos to the Files app, not Photos, by default.
To move a video into your Camera Roll, open Files, find the download, tap Share, then choose Save Video. Images and GIFs saved through the browser usually land in Photos directly.
Paste the link and tap Download the same way. Most Android browsers save straight to the Downloads folder, and files saved there usually show up in your Gallery app automatically.
If a video doesn't appear in your gallery, open your Files app, go to Downloads, and open it from there — some gallery apps only scan specific folders.
On desktop, the file saves to your browser's default Downloads folder, same as any other download. Right-click pinloot's download button and choose "Save link as…" to pick a different location.
pin.it links — the short links Pinterest's own share button generates — work exactly like a full pinterest.com/pin/… link. Paste either one; pinloot follows the redirect and resolves the actual pin automatically.
Private or secret board: only public pins can be resolved. If a board is private or secret, there's nothing to fetch from it without viewing it directly inside Pinterest as a collaborator.
Pin was deleted: if the creator removed the pin, the link no longer points to anything on Pinterest's side, so there's nothing left to download.
No audio on a video: a small number of Pinterest videos store video and audio as separate files. If combining them fails, pinloot falls back to the silent video rather than failing the download entirely.
Wrong link type: make sure you copied a single pin's link (pinterest.com/pin/… or pin.it/…), not a board, profile, or search-results link — those aren't single pins and won't resolve.
Saving pins for personal, offline viewing is generally fine. Reposting or using someone else’s work commercially needs the creator’s permission.
No. Public pins download without logging in to Pinterest or pinloot.
The highest quality Pinterest stores for that pin. Videos are usually available up to 1080p; images in their original upload size.
Yes, in any modern mobile browser. On iPhone, downloaded videos go to the Files app; tap Share → Save Video to move them to Photos.
No. Only public pins can be detected. Private and secret board content isn’t accessible.
Make sure it’s a single pin link (pinterest.com/pin/… or pin.it/…). If the pin was deleted or made private, there’s nothing to fetch.
If the original pin is gone, there's nothing left for pinloot — or anyone else — to fetch from Pinterest's side.
A small number of Pinterest videos store audio as a file separate from the video. If combining them fails, pinloot automatically falls back to the silent video instead of failing the download.
Yes. pin.it links work exactly like a full pinterest.com/pin/… link — paste either one.
No account or login limit. Very rapid, repeated requests may be temporarily slowed by Pinterest's own rate limiting, independent of pinloot.
No. What you download is the exact file Pinterest stores — nothing added, nothing re-encoded.
pinloot is an independent tool and isn’t affiliated with Pinterest. We don’t host any files; downloads come directly from Pinterest’s public servers. Content on Pinterest belongs to its creators. Download for personal use, and ask permission before reposting or using it commercially.
